Foods that enhance weight loss


Want to enhance your efforts to lose weight? 1. Strawberries

A two-year study published in the journal Journal of Nutrition showed that people who consumed an additional 8 grams of fiber per 1,000 calories a day lost nearly 4 1/2 pounds. (Women who decreased their fiber intake took weight.) A cup of strawberries has 3 grams of fiber and more than the recommended daily dose of vitamin C, an antioxidant that helps skin remain healthy.

2. Eggs

Eggs are rich in protein, which keeps the hunger away. In one study, people who have made diet and ate eggs for breakfast felt fuller and also lost more than twice the weight than those who consumed the same amount of calories than a bagel.

3. Green salad

Green leafy vegetables are rich in water and fiber to help you do not overdo it to the next meal with high-calorie foods. Eating a salad as a first can reduce the total calorie intake at a meal up to 12 percent. You are not followers of salad? The soups have the same effect (study found that people who began the meal with vegetable soup consumed 20 percent fewer calories than those who failed the soup).

4. Mushrooms

The mushrooms look like in flavor to meat, but only a fraction of the calories and fat of red meat. Research indicates that people who eat dishes based on mushrooms, felt so happy as when they ate the same dishes with beef.

5. Apples

For just 90 calories, one medium apple contains 4 grams of fiber. And recent research, published in the journal Journal of Nutrition, shows that increasing fiber intake can help prevent weight gain or even encourage weight loss.

6. Oat cereal

Eating a breakfast of oats, three hours before exercise can help you burn more fat, suggests a recent study in the journal Journal of Nutrition. Here’s why: oat consumption does not increase blood sugar when you eat as refined carbohydrates like white bread. In turn, insulin levels do not rise dramatically, and because insulin plays a role in storage of body fat, lower levels can help you burn fat.

7. Chili peppers

In one study, eating a bit of hot pepper (tomato juice or capsules) 30 minutes before a meal helped participants to feel less hungry and eat about 10 percent less.

8. Almonds

Chew more to reduce hunger. In this conclusion, researchers concluded in a recent study in the journal American Journal of Clinical Nutrition which asked participants to chew the almonds 10, 25 or 40 times. Participants took the greatest satisfaction felt fuller-than-almonds when chewing 40 times. Chewing more can cause greater release of fat from almonds, which activates hormones that curb hunger.
